The Appaloosa Reining Horse Association is dedicated to the promotion of the Appaloosa reining horse, it’s breeders, owners, and riders. Through our organization, we offer incentives to encourage the growth and popularity of Appaloosa reining in open and breed competition.. The Appaloosa horse is known for its versatility, stamina, endurance, and gentle disposition. But, it’s most notable characteristics are its colorful coat patterns and unique heritage in American history. Championship reining has no color boundaries.

The Appaloosa Reining Horse association is an affiliate of the Appaloosa Horse Club. Members of the ApRHA do not need to be members of the ApHC. Our annual membership meeting is held during the Appaloosa Horse Club World Championship Show in Ft Worth, TX.

Plans are currently underway to expand the number of Appaloosa reining derbies and futurities across the country, as well as the added money and prizes at each event. Join us as we grow and “Slide with Pride.
